The BPSO brought delightful weather as we entertained record crowds at the annual Proms in Beacon Park in Lichfield on September 1st 2018.
The brilliant night started with The City of Lichfield Concert Band before the BPSO, compared by PC Danny saw the night in culminating in a stunning fireworks finish.
We were joined on stage this year by singers Claire Prewer and Anando Mukerjee as they wowed with songs from La Boheme, World War I and the traditional Proms climax.
Councillor Bob Awty, Chairman of Lichfield District Council, said to Lichfield Live: “What a fantastic evening.
“We had record numbers, with thousands joining us to celebrate our 20th year of Lichfield Proms. It was a joy to see everyone having such a great time, waving their flags, enjoying the music and the atmosphere.
“A big thank you must go to all the proms team who work so hard to organise Lichfield Proms, and to all the sponsors who help to support this spectacular event, and to the brilliant musicians for thoroughly entertaining us.”
