Welcome to the British Police Symphony Orchestra website

As Chair of the British Police Symphony Orchestra (BPSO) I have great pride in welcoming you to our website.

I am truly grateful to each and every member of the orchestra for the outstanding ambassadorial roles they undertake on behalf of the Police Service. Through their dedication the orchestra is able to engage, excite and enlighten communities both in the UK and beyond.

In a typical year the orchestra provides nearly 8000 hours of their own time raising money for nominated charities and undertaking outreach projects. We are delighted that this amazing commitment was recognised in 2018 by the granting of the Queens’ Award for Voluntary Service.

The orchestra also plays an important part in the annual National Police Memorial Day service, remembering those who have been killed or died on duty.

By browsing our website you will get a feel for what we represent and what it is like to be part of the BPSO ‘family’. You will also be able to see how you can get involved by supporting the work of our orchestra.
